I'm looking to stream xbox games to twitch using a Mac, OBS and a capture card. I currently have used Hauppauge's HD PVR2 Gaming Edition to capture footage to my computer, however it seems that it is not compatible with OBS for Mac as I cannot get OBS to recognize it.
So I'm looking into getting a different capture card that will be compatible with OBS for Mac and I'm struggling to find any straightforward answers. Ideally it would be something I could just plug into my Mac, open OBS and recognize it. I would rather not have to 'Window Capture' if possible, as that uses more CPU.
Is there a compatibility list that I can have confidence when purchasing a capture card, or maybe an explanation of how to better set up the stream using a Mac and OBS for Mac? Why would OBS exist for mac if it's so hard to find a capture card that's compatible with it?
I'm hoping there's an easy option, but there's not much I'm finding when searching online.
I can stream directly from my xbox to twitch, but ideally I want to incorporate OBS to have more overlays and what not.
